“Not only do the homeowners win, but residents in need do too.”

We’re so excited to continue working with Neighbor to Neighbor. Not only has the program benefited the Warm Up Fund, but it has also helped our town earn energy-saving rewards. For every homeowner who has a home energy assessment, the Neighbor to Neighbor contractor makes a $25 donation to the Warm Up Fund when the resident designates us. This allows us to help our clients heat their homes during the cold winter months.

Having had a Home Energy Solutions visit myself, I can attest to the energy savings people will see. So not only do the homeowners win, but residents in
need do too.

“We had our HES visit and instantly saw the benefits.”

We live in a log cabin, so our home is rather old and was very drafty. We had our Home Energy Solutions (HES) visit and instantly saw the benefits. They sealed our doors and fixed our drafts – they did everything.

The most important part of the process for us was when the contractors sat down and explained what they’d be doing and how it would help. They took their time and were incredibly thorough answering any questions my husband and I had. It was a great experience. They were there for us every step of the way. It was worth every penny.

“I can feel the savings!”

I went to a Neighbor to Neighbor workshop and was inspired to take a look at my attic insulation – my 1930’s home had insulation of the same vintage! I learned about great incentives and tax credits available, had a Home Energy Solutions visit, and then upgraded my R-13 insulation to R-43. I can absolutely feel the difference before and after having the insulation redone.

“Neighbor to Neighbor makes it easy for us to help residents save money”

By collaborating with the Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge, WAIM has been able to raise awareness about energy conservation to our clients and get over some of the financial limitations.

Through the free energy workshops and income-eligible programs we can reach clients that wouldn’t normally invest in energy efficiency.  Together we will help residents save money and provide more comfortable homes for their families

“A Neighborhood Energy Workshop inspired me to become an ambassador for the Challenge”

My wife and I have been involved in energy conservation and renewable energy since the 1970’s.

In January we upgraded our solar PV system and the next month we saw our usage drop from 300 kilowatts per hour to 116 kilowatts per hour.

I came to a Neighborhood Energy Workshop and was inspired to become an ambassador for the Challenge in Cheshire. I’m looking forward to helping to educate and motivate my neighbors to become more energy efficient
