Too Good to Pass Up

Dear Neighbors,

As part of the Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge, I had a great experience with the Home Energy Solutions program.  The technicians who came to my home were punctual, professional and very knowledgeable about energy conservation.  After they sealed my windows, doors, and ducts - I could feel the difference immediately.

During the visit I was provided with information on different incentives, programs and rebates that are available only to Home Energy Solutions (HES) participants. One program was too good to pass up: Connecticut Light & Power’s on-bill financing for insulation upgrades. I was able to increase my attic insulation from R-19 to R-49 with no out-of-pocket expense.  The very reasonably priced upgrade was simply added to my current electricity bill for a term of 36 months at 0% interest.

The process was simple and convenient. I filled out a brief application and scheduled my insulation installation appointment.  When the installation was completed, Connecticut Housing Investment Fund sent a check directly to my HES contractor.  No hassles – simple and easy. I was also eligible for a rebate, which I received shortly after mailing in the rebate form.

The services and information that I received from my Home Energy Solutions visit certainly exceeded the $75 cost.

I highly recommend having a Home Energy Solutions visit and taking advantage of the on-bill financing provided by Connecticut Light and Power.

Sincerely,
Julie Lane
