The Results Are In: Community Winners Announced!

The Home Energy Workshop they hosted in April helped the Friends of Cheshire Public Library win our Community Rewards Competition Grand Prize.

Community groups across the 14 participating Neighbor to Neighbor towns took advantage of October’s Energy Awareness Month to encourage their members to take energy-saving steps in their homes. 

After a careful tally, the results are in.  Many community groups were neck-and-neck in the final stretch of the Community Rewards Competition, but the Friends of Cheshire Public Library have won the grand prize!  The Friends of Cheshire Public Library will use their prize for $5,000 worth of energy related rewards.

“I’m thrilled to learn that Cheshire is the winner in overall community group points, and I’m proud to work in a community that is so dedicated to energy conservation and efficiency,” says Ramona Burkey, Library Director.

Plus, dozens of community groups will also be able to use their winnings to advance their energy efficiency, and in doing so show their town how easy it is to save.
